The EAC-flexion bench is dedicated to the characterization of the durability of polymers and composites bench. For this, the user fills a tank specially designed in the bench with a potentially aggressive fluid for the material (pure / distilled water / mineral / salt, acidic / basic solutions ... inoculum). The test is performed at slow speed to let the middle time to impact the performance of the material. By comparing the curve obtained in a neutral medium (eg air) and that obtained in the test medium, the user obtains information about the sustainability of its material.
It also allows to estimate the lifetime of the material fatigue by applying cyclic loading (charging / discharging).
Finally, it can be used as a classical bending bench with the advantage of a wide range of solliciation extreme (0.1 mm / h 2mm/min) for a finer differentiation between two closely related materials (formulation / type rate of reinforcement, surface treatment ...).
The acquisition of the measuring points (force / displacement) is carried out by a dedicated software. It displays the result as a curve on which the feature points are calculated (modulus, stress, strain ...).
