This version is used for measuring non-woven fabrics with a rate of compressibility higher than 20%.

The sample (200 by 200mm) rests on a reference surface and is measured vertically. The pressure is applied by a glass plate of the same dimensions. The measuring system is a mobile rod, which rests freely on the glass plate and the measurement is taken by reading the position of the upper part of the rod on a graduated index. The measurement range is from 100mm with an accuracy of 0.1mm.
