Test bench for the shear modulus the fibers

There are a few months, we inform you that Materiau Ingénierie was working at the development of an instrumented torsion pendulum to measure the rigidity modulus the fibers / monofilaments.

Following several months of validation, the first results were summarized in a paper available for download.

The project is now moving towards the integration of a laser diffraction system for measuring fiber diameter. This system will be integrated in the device directly to improve the measurement accuracy.
