Sodemat was created in 2005 following the takeover of a company of that name based in Bréviandes, Troyes, in France.

Since 1979 Sodemat has been recognised as an innovative company, developing testing and measuring solutions for flexible materials and specialising particularly in textiles. Over the years the company has been able to diversify by offering, in addition to its main activity, made-to-measure test apparatus and measuring solutions for sectors connected to the textile industry, e.g. non-woven, leather, health sectors and the automotive industry.

Our Sodemat range also includes the textile and motor vehicle test/quality control ranges of JPS MIE, SNE JPS having been taken over by Matériau Ingénierie in 2004. Initially based in Bréviandes, Sodemat was moved to the main site based in Saint Christol Lez Alès in 2007, when certain products were discontinued to allow us to refocus and concentrate on our range of technical products.
